Public access to crime information improves

More crime information has been put online, which has improved access to the information, the Richmond Times-Dispatch reports.

Locally, the public can search general district courts and circuit courts for Danville and Pittsylvania County online through Virginia’s Judicial System Web site. You can search by defendant’s name or date to find past and upcoming criminal and civil proceedings. Also, the Danville Police Department posts biweekly arrests and incidents on their Web site. The department also posts an active warrants list.
