FORMER N.C. DA: An unsealed search warrant revealed details about the SBI investigation into former Caswell County District Attorney Joel Brewer. Brewer is being investigated for impersonating an officer and for dismissing tickets for people then calling them for help during elections. See the full story.
MALL BRAWL: Three women were charged in the fights at Piedmont Mall Saturday. See the original post and story.
COMMENDATION: Two state delegates and a state senator introduced a resolution that commends Lt. Col. Ronald Ball, a former Danville sheriff’s deputy. Ball retired in December after a 31-year career in which he worked for the Danville Police Department and Danville Sheriff’s Office.
