On Tuesday, more potentially dangerous winter weather is expected to hit the Dan River Region. We’re not sure what to expect, but we have the ability to get stories out by e-mail, cell phone text messages, our Web site and the newspaper. No matter what hits the ground, we should be able to get the word out

Advertising revenue helps to pay for kind of newsgathering like the story about Clark’s candidacy. Without it, how could we afford to put five reporters on the street every week gathering the local news … that might wind up on page A1, covered by a neon-yellow sticker?
